IOWA THUNDER JOINS NWFA
The National Women's Football Association is pleased to announce that a license to operate a women's football team in the city of DeMoines, Iowa. The new team will be operated by William Grimes. The new team has been named
He has over 26 years of Coaching and playing experience at every level, which enables him to understand what it takes to make a team and a player function to their optimal ability. Grime’s day job consists of his duties as Senior Vice President of Career Management Associates.He is a Veteran of the United States Navy where he served onboard the USS Bunkerhill (CG-52) during operations in the Persian Gulf. He is also a member of the Lightning, the men’s semi-professional football team. "We are very pleased to have this new team on board for our 2009 season. It will fit in really well geographically in our league. Mr. Grime's experience will go a long way in helping to make this team one of the most successful teams ileague," states league CEO, Catherine Masters.

Fort. Worth, TX-The Lone Star Mustangs Team announces the completion of their logo. Its elements stem from heritage and definition. The Lone Star is symbolic of Texas as a whole. It represents the importance of the community and the pride the team has in its supporters and fans. The mustang is a semi-wild horse. Its wildness promotes creativity, inspiration, and determination. The mustang can also train and develop significant skills. These attributes make the mustang an excellent representative for the team's ability to work together and create a cohesive group.
We would like to thank the community for their gracious support. We are receiving a great welcome from teams in the NWFA league and various members of the women's football industry. We look forward to our inaugural season and hope to help in the growth of women's football.
